At Large Community

Temple Beth Torah is an active participant in various community organizations, including:

Humble Area Assistance Ministries (HAAM)

TBT has an ongoing food drive to support local families in need. When coming to TBT for worship services, religious school or other functions, please bring non-perishable food items to donate to the HAAM food bank.

Temple Beth Torah is a congregational member of CanCare, a national organization centered in Houston that provides support for cancer patients and their families. Cancer survivors are trained as volunteers to help patients and their families with issues related to navigating the hospital system and general well-being. For more information on CanCare, visit

Coalition for Mutual Respect

Temple Beth Torah participates in an annual pulpit exchange. Rabbi Dan Gordon is the guest preacher at an area church and a local pastor visits TBT on a Friday night to give a special sermon. These events help build our relationships with the non-Jewish community, and help us learn about other faiths. Watch your newsletter for the next Coalition event at TBT. The Coalition for Mutual Respect is a separate committee within the Anti-Defamation League.
