Upcoming Events at Temple Beth Torah

Lag B’Omer / Confirmation Weekend
Spring into Summer with a TBT Celebration!

Friday, May 16 – 6:00 – 8:00 PM

The 49 days between Passover and Shavuot is a special time on the Jewish calendar. It begins with the story of the Exodus from Egypt and concludes with the receiving of the Ten Commandments. This time is called “counting the Omer,” and traditionally is a time of contemplation and somber reflection. There is a break on the 33rd day – called “Lag B’Omer” – to remember wonderful historical moments in our history. It is traditionally celebrated with barbeques, games, and bonfires.

Barbeque Dinner and Indoor and Outdoor Games For adults and children

Shabbat will be extra special this week, enjoying both indoor and outdoor games. Games will be provided and feel free to bring your favorites. We will have delicious barbeque, and the evening will also include everyone’s favorite smores!

Suggested donation: $10 / person or $20 for two or more.

Sunday, May 18 – 10:00 – 12:30 PM
Sunday School Awards, Confirmation, Teacher Appreciation, Music and Lunch

The end of Sunday School is a time to honor our students and teachers. This year, we
have three students completing their post bar and bat mitzvah education.

Vicki Aizenberg, Rachael Blumin and Owen Brawn
are ready to move forward with their commitment to Jewish adulthood.
Each will speak a little about how their TBT learning has helped shape their lives.

Cantor Francyne Davis Jacobs

will be with us in the morning to enhance the day with song.
